GFI or GFCI outlets tend to trip when too much equipment or appliances are plugged into the GFI. GFI’s are meant to protect people from receiving electric shocks. For that reason, they do not like large motors. For example, the biggest failure is using the GFI protected device in the garage for a second refrigerator. If this is the case, in order to protect the GFI, a dedicated line should be installed.
